The DuPage County Sheriff's Office maintains a sex offender registry to facilitate access to publicly available information about persons convicted of sex offenses. Individuals are included on the sex offender registry solely by virtue of their conviction record and Illinois state law. The primary purpose of providing this information is to make it easily available and accessible, not to warn about any specific individuals.
Huntsville, TN Just days after a convicted sex offender was jailed on a federal warrant for allegedly violating the conditions of his lifetime probation, the Tennessee Department of Corrections Probation Department has jailed two more. Alfred Lindsey, 48, of Pioneer was picked up on Monday for allegedly violating the conditions of the sex offender registry and the conditions of his community supervision for life. According to arrest warrants filed by Probation Officer Rachael Newport of the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Lindsey allegedly failed to provide the department with his current email address. Because of that violation, the state argues that Lindsey violated the laws of the land and thus the conditions of his lifetime probation.
